First class with us? Call ahead
to confirm your attendance.
Drop-ins are welcome on a space permitting basis. Priority is given to
students who are enrolled with class passes.
All classes are $14 per class (drop-in) or purchase class pass with registration for
discounted rates. 4 classes/ $45, 8 classes/$80, Monthly unlimited/ $115.
All class passes are valid per terms listed below. Please register
responsibly.
Sorry, no refunds for unused class passes or classes and passes are not
transferable. Passes CAN be used for make-up classes as long as your pass
is valid and arrangements are made with Carrie in advance. Class passes may not be used for special events and
workshops.

Descriptions
Beginners Bellydance (traditional
style foundational skill development)
Get fit the fun way as you learn the basics of bellydance. Techniques
instruction includes posture, basic movements/steps &
simple dance combinations. This class provides students with
a solid foundation to build upon as we explore traditional and contemporary
solo bellydance technique. No previous dance experience necessary.
students of all ages, shapes, sizes and levels of ability are encouraged to
participate! Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement and a
scarf to tie around your hips!
Intermediate Bellydance (traditional style)
A MIXED LEVEL, Skill building class
For beginning - intermediate to intermediate students who have achieved a
level of competence with the level one beginners class material and are ready
to polish and refine beginners techniques in preparation for moving into
intermediate -advanced levels. Dancers begin a more focused approach to
posture, form and learn short dance combinations /choreographies. Begin developing stage performance skills. Class includes
veil, intermediate finger cymbal instruction, stage space utilization, body carriage,
rhythmic and musical interpretation.
Advanced Bellydance Technique
For dancers of an intermediate -advanced level of skill. Learn advanced
dance & musical interpretation technique, choreography, advanced zills
including 6/8 & 9/8 rhythms, veil, floorwork, stage space utilization, stage
presence and more...
Beginning Tribal bellydance (level 1)
Now's
your chance to learn the unique techniques & movement repertoire behind
Carries Konyha's, Nawari Dance Company and their world-fusion bellydance
format as seen at the Arizona Renaissance Festival and throughout the
South-Western States. This class is suited for the beginner dancer and
includes beginning level slow moves, fast moves, spins, turns, steps,
beginning combinations & queues with a focus on the group dynamic. This class
is the prerequisite for enrollment in the intermediate tribal improvistion
class and for performance opportunities with the Sedona's premier world fusion
dance company, Nawari Dance Ensemble.
Tribal Improvisation class, level 2
The focus of this class is on the group dynamic and learning the Nawari format
of tribal bellydance. Dancers strengthen the performance skills needed
for improvisational group dances as they expand there knowledge through
learning queuing techniques and more complex combinations and group
formations . Enrollment is upon approval
from the director/instructor, Carrie Konyha. Must have a solid foundational
knowledge and skill of basic bellydance developed.
Bellydance Fitness class (all levels
welcome)
A fun and effective
fitness class
designed with a dancer’s goals in mind: long, lean, flexible and strong
muscles make for clean isolations and fluid movement. This is a bellydance
conditioning training/ work-out class designed to build strength, balance,
flexibility, endurance and muscular control. In a non-stop hour of movement, this class
includes
basic
belly dance movement drills,
bellydance floorwork exercises, pilates inspired core strengthening and yogic stretching.
W. African drumming Class: Learn
Traditional W. African drum rhythms and drumming technique with our drummer
extraordinaire, Three Trees.
